Right to information means the right to information accessible under this. Act which is held by or under control of any public authority and includes the right to:

  • Inspection of work, documents, records
  • Taking notes, extracts or certified copies of documents or records
  • Taking certified samples of material

 

Obtaining information in the form of diskettes ,floppies, tapes, video cassettes or in any other electronic mode or through printouts where such information is stored in a computer or in any other device.

“INFORMATION” means any material in any form, including records, documents, memos e-mails, opinions, advices, press releases ,circulars, orders, logbooks, contracts , reports, papers, samples, models, data material held in any electronic form and information relating to any private body which can be accessed by a public authority under any other law for the time being in force.

Request for Obtaining Information :

A person, who desires to obtain any information under this act, shall make a request in writing or through electronic means in English or Hindi or in the official language of the area in which the applicants being made accompanying such fee as may be prescribed to the Public Information Officer specifying the particulars of the information sought by him or her.

The information can be sought from Public Information Officer, RAJEEV GANDHI GOVT. P.G. Autonomous College, AMBIKAPUR,(C.G.) on an application along with payment of Rs.10.

 The particulars of its organization, function andduties of the organization


The Rajeev Gandhi Govt. Post Graduate Autonomous College is strictly following RIGHT OF INFORMATITONACT, 2005 (Act no. 22 of 2005) and executing all responsibilities and dutiesgranted by the RTI Act 2005 in general and section 4 (1) B, in particular.

(A)  Particulars of Organization –

TheCollege is purely Government Organization of State of Chhattisgarh, governed byDepartment of Higher Education, Collegiate Branch, Ministry of HigherEducation, Government of Chhattisgarh, and by the act of Sant Gahira GuruVishwvidyalaya Surguja, Ambikapur  andChhattisgarh. We are  NAAC B accreditedCollege. Our College catering nearly 6300 students of Arts, Science andCommerce faculties from every corner of States including urban, suburban andtribal area. We have -23 undergraduates and 18 Post Graduate Departments and our 15-PG departments are recognized research Centre for Ph.D. Our College is registered under section 2(f) and 12 (B) and has been granted Autonomous status by University Grant Commission, New Delhi.

(B)  Function and Duties 

The main function and duties of our organization we –

1.  Teaching up to Postgraduate level
2.  Research including Ph.D., program, and
3.  Extension Services.

We are executing our duties with strict adherence of----

i.  Chhattisgarh Civil Service (Conduct)Rule, 1965, and


ii.  Chhattisgarh Civil Service(Classification, Control and Appeal) Rule, 1966. Besides, we are also following rule and regulation of Sant Gahira Guru Vishwvidyalaya Surguja and basic principle of University Grants Commission, New
Delhi.


(C)  Declaration about section 4(1) B of RTI Act 2005

We declare that, section 4(1) B of RTI Act 2005, is beingstrictly followed by our organization and it has been made compulsory in Statute for all Gazetted and Non- Gazatted employees of state government as aservice condition. For adherence of section 4(1) B of RTI Act 2005, the StateGovernment has a defined functioning body, viz –
1.  Jan Suchana Adhikari  - Prof. Rijwan Ulla  (Principal) SahayakJansuchana Adhikari – Mr. Madhavendra Tiwari
2.  Apealiya Adhikari  - Commissioner, Deptt. of Higher Education of Chhattisgarh.
3.  Second Apealiya Adhikari - Commissioner, Suchana Ayog of the State of
Chhattisgarh.

Above functioning body is responsible for strict adherence of Right of Information Act 2005 within stipulated time line as provided in the act.
